IO Interactive Says Hitman 3 is “Well Underway”

IO Interactive has been busy with their Hitman content. Aside from the previously reported November Roadmap, the developers have announced that development on the next game is “well underway”.

The November Roadmap will be the last major update for Hitman 2. This follows some 13 months of constant, free (ish) content. As IO put it,

“…we’re now at a place where we are looking increasingly to the future. In real terms, we’re moving more and more of the Hitman 2 team to join the next Hitman game, which is well underway”.

Beyond the November updates (check out Jamie Green’s post for more info), there’s plenty of life left in Hitman 2. In December, the remaining content for Hitman 2 will drop. Featuring “Escalations”, an Elusive Target, and what is promised to the “permanent return of some Seasonal Content”.

BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE! As live content will continue into the new year as well. Featured Contracts and Community-curated Contracts will carry on into 2020. IO has even said how they are planning on bringing back previous Elusive Targets, “giving players another chance to earn any attached rewards and experience [they] might have missed the first time round”.
