Introducing The Playstation Classic

“Almost 25 years ago, the original PlayStation was introduced to the world,” said the PS Blog announcement. “Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment, it was the first home console in video game history to ship 100 million units worldwide, offering consumers a chance to play games with real-time 3D rendered graphics in their homes for the first time.

“Today, we are excited to announce that we are bringing back the original PlayStation experience in a new miniaturized version – PlayStation Classic! The console will come pre-loaded with 20 classic titles, including fan-favorites such as Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms.”

The console is around half the size of the original PlayStation and comes with two classic controllers so you can batter your mates on Tekken. You hook it up to your TV with a HDMI, included with the console.

This new console is about 45 percent smaller that the original PlayStation console, the design is similar to the original and it comes with the same controllers as the original.

The console will come HDMI to connect to your TV and it will go on sale on the 3rd of December 2018, the new Sony PlayStation Classic will cost £89.99.

We will have a full list of the games that will be included with the console closer to release, we presume that Sony will be offering additional games for the console.

Considering Sony seems to be a bit better than Nintendo when it comes to hardware supply, it doesn’t seem likely this will be quite as hard to get your hands on as the NES or SNES Classic have been.
