Hitman 3 Lets You Play All Three Games In VR

Hitman 3 brings you closer to your targets than ever before, with the addition of VR. The Developers, IO Interactive, showed off this cool yet disturbing feature in the new trailer which debuted in the latest PlayStation State of Play event.

A Whole New World

The trailer begins with Agent 47 infiltrating the Black Gold Bar before promptly zooming into the back of Agent 47’s clean-shaven head. The PSVR-mode allows the players to, for the first time see what Agent 47 sees. From this perspective we can explore the map from an entirely new point-of-view, setting up for some intricate and gruesome kills.

Deadly Moves

From what I can tell the Hitman 3 will feature smooth locomotion. Hopefully, there will be a version more suitable for those suffering from motion sickness as well. It also looks like you will be able to use the Playstation Move controllers to interact with the map and different objects. PSVR will let you come much closer to your targets and set up their inevitable deaths from up close. In the final seconds of the trailer, we watch as Agent 47 takes out his trusty piano wire and goes to garrote an NPC. Disturbing but also pretty cool.

Go Back In Time

Hitman 3 will also let the player experience both previous titles, in the trilogy, in VR. Maps from Hitman and Hitman 2 can be loaded up in Hitman 3 as DLC. This will bring a ton of “new” content to Hitman 3, allowing the player to explore every map in fullest detail. So if you’ve ever wanted to take a closer look at Helmut Kruger, male supermodel, and maybe stab him in the face, here is your chance.
