The latest offering from Arc System Works is Guilty Gear Strive; it looks to be a big release for fighting fans. The weekend just gone saw PlayStation users playing the open Beta. Initial reports that I have read suggest that it has been very well received.
Guilty Gear is a notoriously complex fighting game, and arguably Arc System Works’ toughest series to get into. Still, the series has a dedicated following. Guilty Gear Strive is keeping up with the franchise’s sense of style and sophisticated combat. The Japanese studio is legendary in the 2D fighter genre and is also responsible for BlazBlue and Dragon Ball FighterZ.
According to the official description, Guilty Gear Strive “upholds the series’ reputation for groundbreaking hybrid 2D/3D cell-shaded graphics and intense, rewarding gameplay.
“There is a fully voiced story mode diving deep into the Guilty Gear universe, new characters joining fan favorites, and robust rollback net code.

“Guilty Gear Strive- brings a number of new and innovative game play mechanics designed to allow players new to the series to quickly learn the fundamentals while maintaining the deep, creative gameplay Guilty Gear is praised for.
