GTA 6 Leaks Confirmed as Rockstar Take Down Videos Across the Web

In case you’ve been under a rock all weekend, it appears that Rockstar has suffered a massive leak. A hacker managed to get their grubby little mitts on almost 100 videos and screenshots from the upcoming GTA 6. Rockstar meanwhile has been desperately scrambling to remove all traces from the internet.

The leak is likely the biggest since the recent Last of Us Part 1 leaked from Naughty Dog.  There are now dozens of videos, multiple screenshots and possibly even source code for GTA 6 now doing the rounds across the internet.

It now seems clear that this leaked content is in fact the real deal. Not only would this quantity of videos be nearly impossible to fake, but Rockstar Games owner Take-Two has had them all taken down. A sure sign of authenticity if ever there was one.

Most of the videos last only a few seconds, including snippets of NPC dialogue. They clearly demonstrate that the game is in early development, showing Rockstar’s development tools throughout.

GTA 6 Is almost certainly set in Vice City, following prior speculation

Of course, we’d love to show you the images ourselves, but in fear of the mighty hammer of Take-Two closing us down, we’re going to err on the side of caution for now. But a quick google of “GTA 6 Leak” should give the intrepid mind somewhere to start.

However, there are a few insights that we can glean from the images. Firstly, the setting is almost certainly Vice City, as previously speculated. This is seen in one of the images clearly labelled on the front of a tram.

Second, the two playable characters, a man and a woman give credence to the “Bonnie and Clyde” concept also speculated from a prior insider leak. Moreover, the female protagonist bears a striking resemblance to Alexandra Cristina, recently leaked as a potential lead actress for the game.

This leak itself came from an updated CV posted by Cristina, saying she was playing a lead role for an unnamed Rockstar project, then quickly denying it. Cristina also comes from a theatrical background, just like Roger Clark so continuing the trend of Rockstar hiring from the stage.

Actor Alexandra Christina certainly fits the bill given the female protagonist features in the leaks

Of course, the character models themselves could easily change before release. Right now, the rest of the footage, including the developer tools look very similar to GTA 5. But the finer details and graphical improvements would likely come later down the line.

One point to note, however, is that the dialogue systems seem to follow Red Dead 2, rather than GTA 5. We’d consider this natural evolution of the Rockstar footprint.

The source of the leaks also claims to have the source code for both GTA 5 and GTA 6. However this remains unproven at this time, the screenshots demonstrating the fact are far from proof beyond a doubt.

The video leaker also claims to have source code for both GTA 5 and GTA 6, although the screenshots they’ve posted to try and prove this are impossible to verify by anyone but Rockstar.

But what do you think? Surely this must be real. Then again, never underestimate the effort some people will put into a good hoax. Let us know your thoughts on the ABG Discord.
