Gelatinous: Humanity Lost, a retro platforming adventure game, is being readied for its physical release… on the Nintendo Game Boy.
No, this isn’t the 90’s, this actually happening in 2021.

Gelatinous: Humanity Lost, takes its inspiration from the retro classics of Castlevania, Metroid and Mega Man to bring an all original sprawling adventure game.
The game spans seven unique areas from Aztec Pyramids to jungle rivers, each packed with detail and challenges to overcome. However, just progressing will in itself be a challenge. You start with NOTHING. No attacks, not even the ability to jump. To survive and progress, you must solve the maze in the temple, discover the ancient secrets and unlock the power of your gelatinous form.
The Kickstarter campaign is due to launch later this year with reward tiers including the game complete with manual in a Game Boy inspired ‘GameBro’ box. The team at Gelatinous HQ are still exploring additional swag items to entice you further like posters, stickers and even a retro-style strategy guide.

You can view the Kickstarter, and sign up to be notified when it launches, right here!
Now if you don’t own an original Game Boy, first of all, WHY NOT?! And second of all don’t worry eBay is your friend here. If you can’t get hold of an original Game Boy, you could always grab a GB Colour or a GB Advance as both will play Game Boy games.
But don’t worry as I have it on good authority it’ll be coming to other platforms very soon… So maybe an N64 or Dreamcast version???
