Gaming Podcasts Worth Checking Out!

In the 80’s and 90’s gamers’ would religiously hit their local newsagents every month to pick up the latest episode of their favourite gaming magazine. Magazines such as GamesMaster and Nintendo Power seem to be a forgotten form of games media, replaced buy YouTube channels and podcasts. That being said we have a few gaming podcasts that might scratch that itch.

Special Moves

Special Moves is a weekly podcast where trio of hosts Mike Williams, Jake Kulkowski and Liam McKelvey discuss the weeks gaming news and chat about what games they have been playing that week. Only launching earlier this year Special Moves has quickly become one of the UK’s most beloved gaming podcasts by becoming the every-man of gaming podcasts.

Jambags

Jambags is a brilliantly funny parody gaming podcast hosted by the comedic duo Rudy Manchego and Dante Rodriguez. Bringing their own brand of Monty Python humour to a gaming podcast Dante and Rudy discuss fake gaming news and interview fictitious gaming personalities. It’s impressive work for two guys living opposite ends of the country.

IGN: Unfiltered

IGN: Unfiltered is a long-form interview show where IGN favourite, Ryan McCaffrey talks to some of the greatest and biggest names in gaming. Unfiltered has been blessed by having guests such as Peter Moore, Phil Spencer and Randy Pitchford. Definitely one to check out if you are interested on what goes on behind the curtain of the games industry.

So there is three podcasts we recommend you check out but whats more important is that you tell us what you think and who we missed? Let us know in the comments and as always for all things gaming stay tuned to ABG.
