Gaming At Christmas On The Nintendo Switch

The school holidays will soon be over, the days will start to get darker earlier and the kids will start looking forward to Halloween and Bonfire night but after that comes the biggest day of the year for most children (and a lot of adults too in the gaming community), Christmas. The part of the season where we can start composing a list of games, accessories, toys etc that we haven’t got throughout the year or that come out around this time of season. So I thought I would throw a little list together of games that are due for release around November/December time to get the excitement brewing for them cold nights in gaming in the comfort of your bedroom, living room or any other room you relax in.

The list doesn’t consist of all of the games coming out between now and Christmas as there are too many to list but just a gentle reminder not to spend all your money before then or your parents money.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (November 2nd in North America and Europe 8th)

Asian branch of Bandai Namco Entertainment released a new trailer of the up and coming rhythm game Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun! for the Nintendo Switch.
The trailer explains how to use the Switch’s Joy-con controllers like they were real drum sticks, also showcasing movements that wouldn’t correctly be registered due to the nature of the motion controls.
Straight hits with the Joy-con will result in a “don” while 45 degrees hits will simulate a “ka,” which is a strike on the drum’s frame.

You can see how it works below. The game will release in North America on November 2nd, and in Europe on November 8th.

Pokémon Let’s Go! Pikachu and Eevee (Nintendo, November 16th)

Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are upcoming role-playing video games (RPGs) developed by Game Freak and published by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. The games are the first instalments of the main Pokémon RPG series for the Nintendo Switch. They are enhanced remakes of the 1998 video game Pokémon Yellow that were released 20 years ago this year. They will also contain influences from Pokémon Go, as well as integration with Go, and will support a new optional controller called the Poké Ball Plus. So if you have a full Pokedex, you’re half way there or haven’t started playing Pokémon Go yet, there’s still time as this may help in Pokémon Let’s go.
