Game Boy Games Could Be Coming To The Switch ‘Very Soon’

When you plant the seed of rumour, sometimes a little truth grows out of it

We could very well be getting Game Boy and Game Boy Colour titles on Nintendo Switch‘s Online service, according to recent rumours.

Now before you start jumping with joy at the possibility of playing F1 Race, or Wario Land 3, as with any rumour it is best to take this news with a large pinch of salt as Nintendo haven’t ‘officially’ said anything.

But I digress

According to sources close to Nintendo Life and the well-known leaker/insider, ‘NateDrake‘both have claimed that Nintendo will be adding Game Boy and Game Boy Colour titles to the Nintendo Switch‘s Online Library at some point over the next few weeks. This would certainly tie in with the third anniversary of the Online service being launched…if the rumour turns out to be true.

Star Wars (1991)
I took me ages to finally beat this game back in the day

Currently, the service hosts 88 titles from the NES and SNES catalogue, so it would make sense that they start looking to add more titles to the subscription service…but then why not add N64 titles? Or GBA titles? Heck even the Gamecube and Wii had their great titles (Although most of these have already been remastered and released)

In any case, we’ll just have to wait and see if the rumours are true… or just a load of ‘fake news’
