Forza Horizon 3 is heading for end of life status

It looks like Forza Horizon 3 is slowly driving into the sunset as Microsoft has announced that it will no longer be on sale on their online stores, and will enter ‘End of Life’ status.

Announced via Twitter, Microsoft hasn’t stated why the game, plus all of its DLC are being removed, but it is likely expiring licenses for the cars and in-game music are to blame.

While you won’t be able to buy the game from the digital store, the online servers and multiplayer will still be available for those that own the game, either digitally or physically.

This is standard procedure when it comes to the Forza franchise, as you can no longer find Forza Horizon or Forza Horizon 2 in the online store, so your only hope is to hunt down a physical copy (If you can find it for a reasonable price).

Forza Horizon 3 is out now on Xbox One X and PC and leaves the Microsoft and Xbox online stores on 27th September.

It’s currently heavily discounted: £6.49 for the Standard Edition and £17.99 for the Ultimate Edition (Which doesn’t include the Expansion Pass, so you’ll need to purchase that separately for £8.77 if you want the Hot Wheels and Blizzard Mountain expansions).

Are you sad to see it go? Or are you going to snap up the DLC? Let us know in the comments below!
