Forspoken Delayed Until Next Year

Forspoken Delayed Until Next Year

Forspoken, Square Enix’s next ultra-pretty action RPG suffers yet another delay. Other than the reveal trailer last year and the occasional gameplay trailer we really haven’t seen much of the game. So it doesn’t really come as a shock to hear that Forspoken is getting pushed back until next year. Forspoken was first intended to come out in October this year.

The reasoning behind what they’re calling a strategic delay however is quite honest and open. After having “discussions with important partners” both Sony and Square Enix have decided that Forspoken would get less attention than what they would have hoped for. And considering that God of War: Ragnarök, Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Gotham Knights as well as a bunch of other big titles all are due to come out roughly at the same time it might be a sound decision.

Forspoken’s new release date is now January 24th. On a slightly brighter note, the developers have said they the game is nearly finished and there is only polishing and final touch stuff left to do.
