After leaving Rockstar North, former president Leslie Benzies is doing what he does best; working on an open-world game.
Only, this time, it’s not a Grand Theft Auto title.
His new studio, Build A Rocket Boy, is based in both Edinburgh and Budapest. It recently secured necessary funding from investors like Cayman fund Makers, Galaxy Interactive, and Netease, a Chinese megacorporation.
Of course, staying true to his past life, Benzies has revealed next-to-nothing about Everywhere. However, there’s probably a fair chance we’ll see clear inspiration from GTA considering Benzies lead the series charge for the past several games.
Notoriously, Benzies sued Take-Two Interactive – parent company of Rockstar – over unpaid royalties in 2016. This eventually lead to Benzies leaving Rockstar altogether.
Again, there is little-to-no information available about Everywhere. However, you can bet we’ll be keeping a close eye on this one.
