Fishing: Barents Sea Releases on Console – Slight Delay on Xbox & PS4

The release of Barents Sea on consoles has been met with a slight hiccup. Virtual fishers who are already looking forward to heading to the Barents Sea on their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One need a little bit more patience.

Because of short-term technical issues, Astragon and Misc Games postponed the release of the Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition. The game will now release on 13th December. The Nintendo Switch release still came on schedule (arriving 10th December).

The Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition includes the commercial fishing and ship simulation Fishing: Barents Sea. This game takes players to the area around the Norwegian town Hammerfest. Here they can make their dream of becoming the most successful fisherman around come true. To help in accomplishing this dream, you use different ships and master various fishing techniques.

Two new DLC packs are also part of the new edition. The new DLC adds a further line and net fishing ships and the opportunity to go king crab fishing. This is as well as all content updates ever published.

The Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition is the first version ever of the game which is available on consoles.

Astragon and Misc Games excuse the small delay. However, they also want to ensure that players on all platforms can enjoy a technically flawless and relaxing weekend in Northern Norway.

The Fishing: Barents Sea – Complete Edition is available as a digital download for Nintendo Switch or Steam. From 13th December, the game will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
