As part of the Final Fantasy 7 25th Anniversary celebration, Square Enix unveiled something rather spectacular. Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 2 now officially known as Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will launch next year. While Square Enix hasn’t given us any firm release details yet, we do know that the new title will launch in the winter of 2023.
The game is the second part of the remake trilogy planned for Final Fantasy 7. It follows the first instalment, Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which launched in 2020. The third and final instalment is yet to be named.
New footage of the game was shown at the Final Fantasy 7 25th anniversary celebration, presented by producer Yoshinori Kitase. You can check out the announcement trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth below.

A title of this scale in which everything is interconnected even before production began is truly rare. In fact, some development has already begun on the third title. We are developing it with all of the passion and dedication needed to create an original game and plan to deliver the ultimate gameplay and world-building experience.”
