the little indie-game that took the world by storm has had a monumental debut week.
Firstly, developer Mediatonic couldn’t keep up with demand and the servers were overwhelmed.
Then, the team cheekily asked to do a future collaboration with CD PROJEKT RED. Ballsy doesn’t quite stretch as far as Mediatonic went with that one.
And now, still, (at ~10:30 pm GMT on 8th August 2020), Fall Guys is one of the most popular games on Steam.
How popular? Well, in terms of Steam’s most-played games by current player-count, Fall Guys ranks in at fourth.
To put that into perspective, Fall Guys is being played by more people today than Rust, Grand Theft Auto V, and Destiny 2. In excess of 93,000 people were playing Fall Guys as I wrote this sentence.
What does the future hold for Fall Guys? Will it be a flash in the pan success? Or is this dozy battle royale here to stay? Time will tell
