Epic Accidentally Accuse Spectating Fortnite Players as Cheaters

Its been a rough week for Fortnite players. Popular Fortnite YouTuber Faze Jarvis has been banned for life for cheating. And now news has come out that Epic had a problem with players using the spectator mode. The studio had accidentally issued out formal warnings to several players whilst they were merely watching other people play the game.

Though it wasn’t Epic’s fault – it appears as though there was a problem with the “spectate game in progress” mode – the company have apologised for the mistake. The fault in question made it appear as though spectating players were “teaming”. This is where players work together – as a team, funnily enough – within a game.

Epic has since sent out an apology to some of those accused. Epic has addressed and fixed the fault. And, by way of apology, have issued out 1,000 V-Bucks for those affected.
