Romero Games and Paradox Interactive have released a new strategy game called Empire of Sin. This game puts you at the heart of the ruthless criminal underworld of 1920s Chicago.
Inspired by real life figures during the Prohibition era, you take the role of one of several mob bosses.
Use your boss to control the actions of their underlings. You are able to take over opponents’ business and recruit new members to their cause. But do not forget that you will have to defend your own empire from the other bosses too.
The game uses alcohol as a type of currency to extend the empire’s influence. There are a few ways in which you can “obtain” alcohol. You can have breweries under your control make it. It can be given to you by allies, or rewarded as part of completing various missions. The quality of alcohol can impact its influence. If it is poor quality alcohol this can be made cheaply and initially sold at a high profit. However over time will lose its value.
It’s up to you to hustle, charm and intimidate your way to the top of the pile and do whatever it takes to stay there
It was released on December 1, 2020 for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
