Embracer, the parent company of THQ Nordic, has recently entered into a merger with Gearbox, developers of Borderlands.
The deal, which cost Embracer $363million, includes six-year performance targets and additional consideration of up to $1.3billion.
Additionally to now owning the publishing rights to Borderlands, Embracer also officially owns Gearbox’s other IPs, including; Brothers in Arms, Homeland, and, yes, even Duke Nukem.
