EGX Rezzed has not just been postponed to later this month as previously planned.

The event will now be take place in the summer as confirmed by organiser Reedpop.

Unfortunately the measure has had to be taken by Reedpop for the indie game focused show, due to fears over spreading the coronavirus.

Originally planned to take place over March 26th, 27th and 28th, the shows tickets will remain valid for the new date whenever that will be.

The new date and venue are yet to be announced, but if you do not wish to attend on the new dates you can contact their customer service team at the email address egx.helpline@reedexpo.co.uk.

“We did everything that we could to try to run the event as planned, but ultimately, maintaining social distancing is neither feasible at, nor in the spirit of, the interactive and community nature of Rezzed,”

“It is the community that makes Rezzed so special and it is our duty to make sure that your safety comes first.”

EGX Rezzed joins a long list of events currently being cancelled or rescheduled.

E3 2020, Taipei Game Show 2020 and GDC 2020 are just some of the events affected.

It had to be a tough decision, but definitely the right call considering the current state of affairs regarding the coronavirus.

Thankfully Microsoft are hosting their own livestream to keep you updated on all their developments and projects.

The livestream will take place on March 17th and 18th, click here for full details.
