Digimon Survive is a survival strategy role-playing video game. Celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Digimon Anime, Digimon Survive presents a brand-new adventure which is set in a mysterious world. This game has been developed by Witchcraft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The characters in the game have been designed by Uichi Ukumo, and music by the much-acclaimed Tomoki Miyoshi.
Digimon Survive sees a brand-new group of teenagers, who get lost on a school camping trip. As one has come to expect, in true anime fashion they find themselves transported to a strange new world of monsters and danger. It is in this world that the teenagers will have to fight their way back home as they face difficult decisions and deadly battles. These battles are reminiscent of the more classic SPRG style, and you will find that the battles in the game are fought in 2D.
Your choice throughout the game will impact the evolution of your monster allies, and also the final ending. However, should you make the wrong decision it may result in your character being killed off.
Different Types of Gameplay
The game is split into multiple types of gameplay which I have listed below:
- Drama Parts – this is where the game proceeds as a text adventure to the tell story
- Search Action – a survival mode
- Free Action – you are free to roam and chat within a limited time window
- Free Battle – you enter certain areas to train your Digimon and collect items.
Digimon Survive will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Microsoft Windows at some point this year (2021) fingers crossed. ?

I am a Content Creator who also Live Streams. I love playing video games, talking about video games and I also write about them as I am an editor for a gaming magazine.
What genre of game do I play? Indie games & story driven games mostly.
Other than that my time is taken up being a Mamma. Yes, I am half Italian and you will find the odd Italian word or phrase being dropped into my streams. Particularly when I become excited 😎
Too many games not enough time!
