Blizzard showed off Diablo IV during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase last week revealing a whole bunch of information about the game. And, in an interview with Gamespot Joe Shely, the game director for Diablo IV, gave us even more juicy knowledge about the upcoming game. Like how long the campaign is, how the endgame is going to work and how they’ve reinvented the necromancer class for Diablo IV.
“You’re able to travel anywhere in the world, make decisions about what you want to do, whether you want to pursue the campaign, which is a 35-hour experience that is just brimming with story and characters that are really human and you can really connect with on an emotional level. We’ve worked really hard on the campaign in Diablo 4 and we’re really proud of how it’s developing.”
However, there is more to Diablo IV than just the campaign. Diablo IV is a live-service meaning that even post-launch the developers will continue to support the game with new, fresh content. It’s mentioned during the interview that at the end of the campaign players will presumably be around level 45. However, the level cap is actually 100.
