Death Stranding will officially be coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC.
The former PlayStation exclusive (published by 505 Games for the PC port) will make the jump to the Xbox-branded Game Pass service this month.
Confirming what eagle-eyed fans had suspected for a few days now, 505 sent out a press release on Friday 19th of August.
The game will bridge the gap (pun intended) on the 23rd of August.
505 Games stated;
“Global publisher 505 Games in partnership with KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS, today announces the upcoming arrival of DEATH STRANDING on Game Pass for PC. The original version of Hideo Kojima’s critically-acclaimed and genre-defying epic lands on the Microsoft ecosystem for the first time, available to audiences who are subscribed to the PC version of Xbox Game Pass”.
Obviously, this marks a large step forward for Xbox Game Pass PC players, something that 505 seems to agree with;
“[The aim of this new addition is] to provide players with greater access to Hideo Kojima’s genre-defying title, in which they’ll reconnect a fractured America, one step at a time”.
Whilst Death Stranding has been available on PC (via Steam and Epic Games), this marks the first time it will be available within the Xbox ecosystem.
Xbox Game Pass PC subscribers will be able to play Death Stranding when it launches on the system on 23rd August from 1 am UK time.
