Dead Or Alive 6 online beta is live

Fighting game fans will likely have received a bit of shock, as Team Ninja officially shadow dropped an open online beta for Dead Or Alive 6 starting today and as far as we know, it is being held on Playstation 4 only. The developers have officially confirmed that there will not be a beta on Xbox or PC as of this moment.

The beta is set to run from January 11th 2019 (4pm BST) through until January 14th 2019 (3:59pm BST). This will allow participants to play in an online ranked match mode only. A tutorial can also be accessed from the game’s main menu, to give players a chance to grasp the basics before jumping online.

5 characters will be available to try out including the 4 main poster ninjas Kasumi, Ayane, Hayabusa & Hayate + newcomer Diego, a Mexican Street Fighter who specialises in the ‘Anything Goes’ mentality of street fighting, using an array of punches, tackles and headbutts to get the job done.

There will also only be 1 arena to fight in being the DOA Colosseum, which has been showcased on numerous occasions in previous demos and preview tournament events like EVO 2018.

This will be Team Ninja’s chance to stress test the game’s matchmaking & net code and gain necessary feedback to tweak the experience before its official release of 1st March 2019.

Anyone who is interested in checking out the Dead Or Alive 6 beta can head on over to the Playstation Store to download right now.
