Cyberpunk 2077 is back on the PS Store, but it comes with a warning

Remember Cyberpunk 2077?

It had all the hype prior to launch, with players across the globe looking forward to to diving into Night City in all its glory, with 3 different story arcs, numerous endings and Keanu Reeves.

Following numerous delays and some abhorrent behaviour from the gaming community, it finally launched last year… and then the nightmares began.

Buggy gameplay, crashes, not to mention that on a base PS4 it was virtually unplayable, Sony took the decision to pull the game from its online store, EIGHT DAYS after release saying it wouldn’t return until the game was in a playable state.

Well it looks like that day has come…ish

Cyberpunk 2077 has returned to the PS Store after about 6 months away. However, in an official tweet from Sony (see below) they recommend avoiding playing the game on a base PS4:

Now, while CD Projekt Red has released multiple patches and fixes for the game since its release, It seems that you may have to wait a little bit longer if you want to play it on a base PS4.

In its most recent patch (1.23) a number of fixes for glitches and crashes were added however, reports from players say that the latest patch has in fact ADDED a few glitches, including messing with the in-game fog system.

So it’s not all good news, especially with the PS5 version coming out later this year. Hopefully CD Projekt Red will continue to fix the game to a point where it’s actually playable and not a hot broken mess but after such a disastrous launch and fallout, will it encourage players back to the game?
