Crysis Remastered To Xbox, PS4 – Even Nintendo Switch

Crysis Remastered has been mistakenly revealed, and is coming soon to PS4, Xbox One, PC, and most interestingly, Nintendo Switch.

As Twitter user @Robotbrush discovered, heading to the cookies policy page on Crysis.com reveals several details about the previously teased game.

The most immediately striking detail is the below key artwork; a recreation of the first games cover art.

This artwork is accompanied by the description; “Crytek’s ground-breaking, critically acclaimed first person shooter is back! Crysis Remastered is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch – the game’s debut on a Nintendo platform.”

No mention of a release date could be found.

The title is seemingly just a remaster of the first Crysis game, and will not be a remaster of the Crysis trilogy, as some people expected.

Switch It Up, Crysis!

It’s particularly noteworthy that the remaster will come to Nintendo Switch. Crysis was famous for being such a graphical powerhouse in 2007 that only high-end PC’s could handle its full potential. Being able to say that your rig could run Crysis meant you probably stole your PC from NASA.

Imagine telling those NASA PC thieves that in 13 years time, you’ll be able to play Crysis on a Nintendo console – a handheld Nintendo console no less! With a visual upgrade no less no less!

We imagine an official announcement from Crytek – perhaps with a trailer – will be arriving shortly.

Crytek had previously been building up to a big reveal via some not-so-subtle teases on the official Crysis twitter account.
