Control: Ultimate Edition Delayed into 2021

Control: Ultimate Edition has officially been delayed until 2021. Remedy Entertainment and 505 Games want the game to be “awesome” come launch, hence the delay.

Remedy Entertainment, developers of [amongst other things] Control, has pushed the upcoming Ultimate Edition release back.

Taking to Twitter, Remedy stated;

“We want the final quality of the game to be awesome, and so we need a bit more time to work on it. Thank you for your understanding and patience!”

Control: Ultimate Edition hasn’t had the best of luck when it comes to productions, and it’s not even released yet. 505 Games previously announced that the standard edition of the game will not allow players to upgrade to next-gen. Instead, they’d have to buy the Ultimate Edition.

Naturally, this irked a fair amount of fans. However, 505 has still not backed down on this decision. So, annoyingly, to experience Control on next-gen console with all its bells-and-whistles, you’ll need to buy it twice. Unless, of course, you haven’t bought it yet. Naturally.
