IOI’s Hitman 3 and Remedy’s Control were featured in the most recent Nintendo Direct event.
And, whilst it isn’t the most out-there announcement, both titles will be available as “cloud editions”.
Now, for anyone trying to guess, it means both titles will be streamed your Nintendo Switch in place of being actually on the Switch.
Of course, this leads to one big problem going forward for anyone looking to play either (or both, we don’t judge) on the Switch. One of the Switch’s biggest draws is it’s portable nature. It’s a fully fledged console you can carry around with you, after all.
However, as the old adage goes, a moving Switch carries no guaranteed internet connections. So, that Switch Lite probably won’t be the best place for it unless you’re content with staying in one spot whilst playing.
Of course, it might just be my scepticism coming through. Previously, the Switch has hosted Resident Evil 7 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in Japan. Though, admittedly, I haven’t seen any reviews (good, or bad) about the experience…
