The Xbox Game Pass is about to receive three classic LucasArts games.
These three games include; Grim Fandango, Day of the Tentacle, and Full Throttle.
And what’s more, these aren’t just straight ports of the games; they are remasters!
One of LucasArts’ most well-known works details the story of Manny Calavera, travel agent to the deceased. Back in its day (1998, in case you were wondering), Grim Fandango merges film noir, Mexican folklore, and classic narrative-driven action-adventure. Plus, it’s Grim. Fucking. Fandango! What more do we need to say?
Day of the Tentacle;
[or, to call it by its full title, “Maniac Mansion II: Day of the Tentacle“] was birthed way back in 1993, acting as the sequel to Maniac Mansion. In Day of the Tentacle, you lead three unlikely amigos in a bid to stop the antagonistic Purple Tentacle. It’s a ’90s LucasArts game, what else would you expect?
And 1995’s Full Throttle rounds off the trio of games.
Born from when Tim Schafer was LucasArts’ project lead, Full Throttle is an atypical graphic adventure game. Full Throttle tells the story of Ben Throttle, butt-kicking leader of biker gang the Polecats. Ben gets caught up in a tale of motorcycles, mayhem, and murder. Thankfully, this is nothing like Ride to Hell: Retribution and can actually restore your faith in motorcycle video games.
All three games will be available on the Xbox Game Pass from 29th October.
