Chernobylite launched in July last year from developer The Farm 51 and has been updated since its release. However, we’ve been waiting for the jump from the old generation to the new one. The game currently runs at 30fps and has had a good run.
The update will bring two new modes on both Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. There will be a 4k dynamic, featuring 30fps ray tracing, while a 1080p 60fps mode will be a goal for a more smooth running experience. Details for the Series S are not yet clear, but we can only hope it is as exciting.
The new launch also introduces four major updates spanned across 2022, with the first one being titled ‘Blue Flames’. The first update drops with the upgraded version, and grants players access to weapons like the ‘silent assassin’ crossbow, ideal to use within the ‘Memories of You’ mission. And not only are there four major updates but there is also a paid content pack on the way too.
