Blizzard Comes Down Hard on “Big Dick” Streamers

I mean, a $1,000 to a couple of eSport players probably isn’t the worst thing, but it is over an admittedly silly thing. Still, at least Blizzard is taking stuff like this seriously. Next time guys, make sure you check before you hit “send”, yeah?

A recent league match ended in Blizzard issuing out fines to a pair of professional Overwatch streamers.

The reason behind the fine came from the streamer’s chat. The streamers in question, Jun-Won “Lastro” Mun and Dong-Jun “Rascal” Kim were talking to each other in the Overwatch chat. The nature of their exchange took a slightly more adult theme when they typed “big dick”, “sex”, and more.

The pair thought the messages were sent privately. Obviously, they weren’t. Shoutcasters and anyone else watching the pair’s session could see the messages. As a result, Blizzard, who published Overwatch, slapped a $1000 fine on the pair for inappropriate content.

Luckily for the two streamers, Blizzard’s ban list doesn’t contain any other punishment beyond a find. Meaning the pair can continue to play and stream immediately.

Still, it just goes to show, you can never be too careful when you stream.
