Bethesda is Officially Part of Xbox’s Group of Studios

In a monumental move, ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda, has been acquired by Xbox.

The move was confirmed by head of Xbox himself, Phil Spencer.

The acquisition will mean Bethesda and its owned studios will be Xbox exclusive. Bethesda Games, Arkane Studios, ZeniMax Online, id Software, Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog, Roundhouse Games, and MachineGames are all included as part of the package.

As many of you will know, Bethesda is responsible for some of gaming’s most influential and well-received titles, including; The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Wolfenstein, Dishonoured, DOOM, Prey, The Evil Within, and more besides.

Looking further afield, this news means that any future Bethesda-licensed game will be exclusive to the Xbox family.

We are really excited to see what this partnership will bring, and even more so about how this will affect the next-generation of Xbox.
