So, it turned out that the rumours were true; the new Assassin’s Creed game will take place during the Viking era. Ubisoft revealed this earlier in the week, via a live stream. Ubisoft also dropped a cinematic trailer for the game, which you can watch here.
Furthermore, now creative director Ashraf Ismail has been teasing players about Valhalla on his personal Twitter account. Like this one where he talks about the lead actors for our Viking protagonist.
Cecilie Stenspil and Magnus Bruun are both Danish actors. Bruun even has experience portraying a Viking from his role as Cnut in The Last Kingdom.
Forge Your Own Path
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will build, further, on the RPG elements introduced in Origins and Odyssey. This time you will be able to make decisions which help shape the story and your very own Viking clan. Ubisoft says the decisions you make both in combat and dialog will have great consequences. And you’ll hear plenty of the actors in both parts of the game.
Ismael also confirmed that the game will mostly take place in England, letting you explore cities like London, Winchester, and York. Norway will also be open for exploration, however, most of the game will take place in England, across four distinct kingdoms.
