Despite not being out yet, the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has just had two DLCs announced. Ubisoft released a news article with all of the details of what will be included in the upcoming season pass. As is becoming a staple of games these days, you’ll have content dished out in seasons. Ubisoft have announced at least three seasons are in the works, and presumably with three season passes. Nothing so far confirmed about what those further seasons will contain, or if there will be anything after season 3.
Coming in December you’ll have Season one, which will include the aforementioned ‘Major’ expansions:
Wrath of the Druids – Will see Eivor travel to Ireland, and investigating the Gaelic folklore. They will also have to deal with the Gaelic kings and cults
The Siege of Paris – Which is pretty self-explanatory. You’ll infiltrate the besieged Paris to uncover secrets and make alliances.
Finally, Ubisoft are keen to let people know that you’ll even get content if you don’t get the season pass. Including christmas events and additional content to add to the game. But nothing that seems that substantial, barring a new game mode possibly. Season 1 should run until March 2021, and I’m sure we’ll hear more about further DLCs before then.
So, with Ubisoft already planning more ways for you to spend your money before the game is even out. Does this raise the issue of ‘why isn’t this in the main game?’ again? Ubisoft have kept quiet on the price at the moment, so only time will tell.
