Alex Kidd in Miracle World could be set to receive a modern makeover

If you happen to be as old as me, you will fondly remember the wonderful free game that came pre-installed on the Sega Master System – Alex Kidd in Miracle World. If you’ve no idea what I’m talking about, give it a google! Released on the 1st November 1986, Alex Kidd was Sega’s answer to Mario and this one is arguably the most well know of the series. The game was infuriatingly difficult but highly enjoyable, and 32 years later, it’s hopefully making its long-awaited comeback!

Looking like an exact copy of the original with nothing more than updated graphics and sounds, this revamp brings the game to a more modern audience. Developing this new version is Hector Toro, also known as Narehop. Hector is a professional animator and illustrator. And indie games developer Jose Sanz – @josyanf1.

At the moment there aren’t many details about the project, other than the images above that they’ve posted on Twitter.
