The Oddworld: Collection will include three games from the still-growing Oddworld universe. The first game is New ‘n’ Tasty, which is a re-imagining of 1997’s Abe’s Oddysee. The second game is Munch’s Oddysee, which is a 2001 Xbox 3D platformer-puzzler set in the Oddworld universe. The third and final game is Stranger’s Wrath, which is the odd one of the bunch. It still retains some platform and puzzle elements, but it also features first and third-person shooting.
The announcement of this bundle came in a very Oddworld-appropriate timing of April 1st. This left fans suspicious and cautious until the following tweet gave them the OK to celebrate:
This announcement comes just before the launch of the most recent addition to the Oddworld family, which is Oddworld: Soulstorm for the PS4 and PS5. The most recent game will continue Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty similar to how Abe’s Exodus continued Abe’s Odysee. It will also be free for those subscribed to PS Plus starting April 6th.
The Oddworld: Collection for Switch will come to stores on May 27th. According to the publisher, there are no current plans to release it on other consoles.
